Whistler Wedding Photographer – Twenty Sixteen

?I am a part of all that I have met.? ?Alfred Tennyson

Looking back on this past year, as we always do as a new one starts, has allowed me to realize how lucky I am to be able to do what I do for a living. Being a wedding photographer?in Whistler, I have met some of the most incredible couples over the last 12 months and have had the honor of documenting moments in their lives that they will cherish forever. I have climbed mountains, hiked down rivers, been freezing cold lying on a frozen lake, been soaked by the rain, drenched in sweat by the sun and crazy excited flying in a helicopter. The best part of all of that though? My amazing couples were doing the exact same thing. Having the opportunity to work with fun and adventurous couples has allowed me to create the kind of images that I love. The trust they put in me is humbling, and sharing these moments with them is why I love what I do so much. Many of these moments we share I will take with me forever.

A mother, who?s son had been the rock in her life for so many years, held him as they danced at his wedding. She just couldn?t be close enough as tears ran down her cheeks.?At another wedding, as tears began running from a groom?s eyes as his bride walked down the aisle, I remembered the moment the very same thing happened to me almost ten years ago. I have been on the verge of tears in laughter as well, with witty bridesmaids and singing/dancing groomsmen (N?Sync no less). A bride swearing at a snowboarder for cutting her off as she was hitting a jump (in her dress with flowers), and placing a bowtie on the biggest dog I have ever seen (pretty much a Direwolf). At times like these, I just feel like everything is right with the world.

I have shared shots with some and hugs with all. I have made lifelong friends and connections from across the globe. Being a wedding photographer is more than just taking photographs…it is being present in every moment and sharing the connection with the people that I am with.

Thank you to all the amazing couples, vendors and other photographers that I have spent time with over the past year and I look forward to what the next year will bring. I hope you enjoy the moments that I have selected to share.

All the best,

Logan
