I will never forget sitting in a photography workshop and seeing an image of a bride, with her veil flying off in the wind. It wasn’t something that ever could have been scripted. It was real and raw. And it was something that stuck with me.
That’s something I’ve carried into my own work. Real over perfect.
I’m looking for the moment when your kid grabs your hand without thinking. When you all start laughing, and it descends into pure chaos.

A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT ME
I’ve called Whistler home for over 20 years, and I love this place. I’ve built my life, my business, and my family here. When I became a Dad, everything shifted. I realized how fast everything goes, and that the little moments are the important ones. My family and I often look back on our photos together, and I want the same for you.
Before I started capturing Whistler families and weddings, I was an adventure sports photographer. Going with the flow and leaning into the unexpected was a big part of the job. Which, it turns out, is excellent training for photographing families.

THE EXPERIENCE
What is a Whistler family photography session actually like?
Honestly? Pretty relaxed! We’ll wander, chat, and your kids can be kids. I don’t expect your kids to be perfectly behaved (they won’t be), smiles don’t need to be on point, and your outfits don’t need to be perfectly coordinated. I know there will probably be a billion stops to have snacks, and that’s just fine.
The real stuff shows up when everyone is having a good time, and no one is posing for the camera. Just be you, and I’ll capture the rest.

We had the absolute best experience with Logan Swayze during our holiday trip to Whistler, for family photos! From the very beginning, he was so easy to communicate with and made the entire process seamless. I reached out about a month before our trip and we even did a video call beforehand so he could really understand the vision I had for our photos.
